How to Clean Your TUDOR Watch at Home

Routine exterior cleaning of your TUDOR watch can safely be done at home with just a few simple steps.

Before You Begin

First, check your watch carefully:

Is the crown fully screwed down?
Is your strap metal, rubber, fabric, or leather?
Are there visible salt marks, dirt build-up, or fingerprints?

For leather straps, avoid soaking the watch in water altogether. Instead, focus on gently wiping the case with a soft cloth.

What You’ll Need

A microfiber cloth
Mild soap
Lukewarm water
A soft-bristle toothbrush or detailing brush

Avoid harsh cleaning chemicals, abrasive cloths, or household cleaners, as these may damage the finish of the watch.

Step-by-Step Cleaning

Rinse Gently

Hold the watch under light lukewarm running water to loosen surface dust and debris. Avoid high water pressure.

Clean Around the Bracelet

Using a soft brush with mild soapy water, gently clean between bracelet links, around the clasp, and near the lugs where dirt often accumulates unnoticed.

Wipe the Case

Use the microfiber cloth to carefully wipe the dial side, bezel, and caseback. Take extra care around polished surfaces to avoid fine scratches.

Dry Thoroughly

Pat the watch dry with a clean soft cloth and allow it to air dry fully before storing or wearing it again.

A Few Important Don’ts

Don’t unscrew or open the caseback yourself
Don’t use ultrasonic cleaners at home
Don’t operate the crown underwater
Don’t soak leather straps in water

When Cleaning Isn’t Enough
